Prosh02
is due to hit the streets of Perth on April 17th 2002. But... what
is PROSH?
PROSH is the infamous satirical newspaper written annually by students
of the University of Western Australia. The writing, editing and selling
of the paper is entirely organised by students, and all proceeds of the
paper go to selected charities.
Since 1931, the students of UWA have been raising money for selected charities
through our annual PROSH DAY. The name PROSH comes from the word
'procession', which students of previous years found themselves unable
to say while drunk.
PROSH
is back for yet another year and for 2002, we are happy to announce that
we have selected six charities to receive the
proceeds of the day. PROSH 2001 raised over $87000 last year for five
charities. This year we are aiming to break the $100000 mark. PROSH has
been running annually for 71 years and this year were planning on
making it bigger and better than ever. After all, PROSH is an event that
just keeps on giving.
